Daniel Novograd is a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer at The New York Times with over 16 years of relevant experience in the field. He is a full-stack generalist with a strong background in various technologies including Flutter, GraphQL, gRPC, Golang, React, TypeScript, Ruby on Rails, Postgres, Docker, and Google Cloud. Daniel has worked with Policygenius Inc. in the past, where he led the initial planning, research, and development of the company's first mobile app. He also contributed to, and eventually led, development supporting the company's core life insurance business. He planned bi-weekly agile sprints that delivered consumer-facing A/B tests and analytics, built an admin interface for their life insurance underwriting and quoting engine, and optimized the services' build times in CI. Daniel was also a member of a DevOps guild whose charter was to help teams create out-of-the-box dev environments and co-led a testing initiative to review existing test suites and establish standards and guidelines for different tool sets.
