Daniel Wasserlauf is a highly skilled software engineer with a passion for programming, mathematics, and hiking. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nanoscale Engineering from the University at Albany, SUNY, and brings with him over 4.86 years of relevant experience in the field. Daniel has a diverse background in software development, radio engineering, quality assurance, and research. He has a fantastic skill set in programming, engineering problem solving, and group management. Currently, Daniel is working as a Senior Software Engineer at Marklogic, where he has created internal tooling for automated AWS resource management, written in Python. He has also led and designed solutions for cloud database cluster management rework and has triaged and fixed customer issues pertaining to Clusters running with AWS infrastructure such as EC2, Autoscaling Groups, ELBs VPCs, IAM, SNS. In his previous role as a Software Engineer II at Commercehub, Daniel implemented a new API to access customer data programmatically and enhanced their retailer capabilities with AWS tools, Node.js, and React. He also migrated existing software solutions for Facebook marketplace integrations and drove feature development for back-end data processing pipelines to make building future applications easier. As a Software Engineer I at Commercehub, Daniel developed business-to-business solutions for major brands and retailers such as Adidas and Hitouch. He solved enterprise problems with serverless cloud solutions in AWS, built and maintained backend infrastructure utilizing Node.js, and rapidly prototyped new solutions for stakeholders in under 60 days. Daniel’s tech stack includes Software Engineering, AWS, QA, Infra, Research Scientist, Python, Javascript, Backend, and NodeJS. His expertise in these areas has enabled him to excel in his field and deliver high-quality solutions to his clients.
