Daniel Zacarias is a seasoned digital product management consultant and the founder of Substantive, a consultancy that specializes in improving the strategy, discovery, and delivery processes of teams. With over 15 years of relevant experience, he has worked with companies of all sizes to enhance their product strategies and processes. Daniel is passionate about the human side of making software products. He enjoys understanding customers' problems and needs and dealing with internal stakeholders, teams, constraints, and decisions required to get the product out the door. His current focus is on building, acquiring, and growing online indie businesses. Before founding Substantive, Daniel worked as a Product Manager at Premium Minds, where he managed a team of over 20 people working on multiple in-house and B2B/B2B2C parking software products in Spain, Portugal, and the UK. He was also responsible for managing the relationship with a major European parking operator and worked on the improvement of development, software engineering, and product management practices within the company. Daniel's past experience also includes working as a Software Engineer at Bliss Applications, where he co-created software engineering practices and worked with the design team on UI and UX definition for multiple successful iOS applications. Daniel holds an MSc in Information Systems & Computer Engineering from the Instituto Superior Técnico, where he graduated in 2008, and a BSc in the same field from the same institution, where he graduated in 2003. With his wealth of experience and expertise, Daniel is an asset to any team looking to improve their product strategies and processes or build, acquire, and grow online businesses.
