Danish Ahmad is a highly skilled Software Engineer currently working with Wells Fargo. He completed his Bachelor of Technology degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 2021. He also designed a Predictive Model to estimate the conditional probabilities of diseases affecting a crop using Machine Learning. Danish's approach involved developing a high accuracy (96%) IoT enabled wireless module for soil data monitoring using Capacitive Sensors. He programmed ESP and Arduino Nano to facilitate data transfer from the field to the central database and employed a variety of Feature Selection, Pre-processing, and Data Sampling techniques for the predictive model. Danish utilized GridSearchCV for the hyper-parameter tuning of multi-class classifiers and improved the accuracy to 74%. The impact of IoT Module was significant as it reduced the cost of the module from Rs 30,000 to less than Rs 1000, making it affordable for an Indian farmer. The module also reduced the volume of the module by 93% from 12,500 cm3 to 900 cm3 for easier mobility. The module facilitates precise recommendation of irrigation pattern and agricultural data logging. The impact of Disease Prediction Model was also noteworthy as it predicted a disease in the crop, which on verifying from the field was found to be true. Apart from his internship experience, Danish was also part of Students' Placement Office, IITk as a Company Coordinator. In this role, he was the direct point of contact between the recruiters and the students. He organized PPTs, mock GDs, and various other processes of Internship and Placement.
