Danny Nemer is a Co-Founder at GreenChain, where he is building a more sustainable fresh-food supply chain through a B2B marketplace. With over 8 years of relevant experience, he is a skilled Senior Software Engineer and product designer who strives to build robust systems that address complex problems with elegant solutions, modular design, strong foundations, and simple interfaces. Danny has a long history of independent projects, self-education, and scaling ambitious ideas from conception to vast systems. He aspires to have a global impact chasing 10x opportunities and force multipliers. Prior to GreenChain, Danny was a Founding Engineer at Afresh, where he was a key architect end-to-end creating their system reducing food waste at the country's largest grocery store chains. He set the foundations for the whole engineering team, including ML, backend, data, SRE/infra, and product. He also shaped the culture, processes, and priorities for the engineering team and company at large. At Even, an early-stage startup that offers financial services to assist individuals living paycheck-to-paycheck, Danny owned and shipped many projects across payments, security, auth, identity, and anti-fraud as an early engineer. Danny holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (B.S.Co.E.) and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (B.S.C.S.) from Washington University in St. Louis. His tech stack includes SRE, ML, Backend, infra, and product design.
