It uses a page rank algorithm to search and organize results for users. It also offers various features like voice-enabled search which makes challenged people access the platform and multi-lingual access. Its application is available for Android and iOS devices.

Led design for the first ever Google Maps app for iPhone (Dec 2012) and then for Android and tablets (Jul 2013). Created interaction framework, prototypes, adapted to findings from research and user feedback, and defined processes and ran approvals with PM/Eng stakeholders.

Managed teams of designers working on consumer Maps apps on all platforms. Teams included directions, navigation, transit, local search, reviews, user contributions, at-a-place experiences, and proactive assistance.

Designed the Google+ Photos web experience, including social tagging. Initiated concept & vision for mobile “Camera Sync” (now Backup & Sync).

Designed the first version of Google Docs editors, doc list, and sharing UI, and grew from a UX team of one up to leading three designers and one researcher over 3.5 years.
