Dattatri Salagame is a seasoned CEO, President, and Managing Director with over three decades of experience in the software and technology industry. He currently leads BGSW-Bosch Global Software Technology, a 100% subsidiary and the largest technology and engineering center of Robert Bosch GmbH, a German global conglomerate. As the CEO/President, Dattatri drives the vision and results of the center, which has undergone a strategic rebranding exercise in 2022 to become a cutting-edge software company for domains of mobility, manufacturing, healthcare, energy, and sustainability. Dattatri has played diverse roles in the software industry, including business leadership, strategy, innovation, startup incubation, M&A, sales, and global delivery. He began his programming career in the 90s, working on challenging engineering problems in the industrial and automotive domains. In the next decade, he explored sales in Germany, led a massive IT landscape transformation project for Bosch in India, and established and scaled new businesses. The following decade saw him spearheading the digital transformation of an industrial Bosch into a technology/software-centric company, incubating businesses of the future, and leading innovation-led growth. As the CEO/President/MD of BGSW, Dattatri enjoys an opportunity to marry human intellect into societal impact at an unprecedented global scale. He draws tremendous energy from working with young, uninhibited "cool" minds and believes that when passion and purpose come together, there are very few things that are unachievable. Dattatri has held various leadership positions in Bosch, including Vice-President of Enterprise Solutions and Consulting and Project Leader for the design, development, and deployment of a "mini-ERP" system for the dealer network of Bosch India's Aftermarket Business Unit. He holds a BE in Mechanical Engineering from B. M. S. College of Engineering and an RKGM from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. Apart from being a software engineer and search expert, Dattatri is a speaker, sports enthusiast, traveler, and avid reader. He played serious cricket in the past and now enjoys badminton and cycling. Dattatri is married and has two daughters who are foodies and live life to the fullest.
