Dave Watson is a seasoned professional with over 35 years of experience in the technology industry. He is currently an Advisor at Blockchain Data Exchange, where he is involved in building an application for self-sovereign identity management and data sharing. The platform is built with Infura, Web3, Enterprise Ethereum, IPFS, and Swarm, and is designed to be a human-centric data storage and communication exchange for a sovereign digital society. Dave has also served as a Non-Executive Director at Climate Risk Intelligence, where he was involved in developing blockchain protocols based on Ethereum for data as a service and model as a service. He has also co-founded Trendalyze, a US-based company that specializes in analytics and monitoring of public blockchain transactions on Bitcoin and Ethereum. Dave has worked on a variety of customer pilot projects, including retail price sensitivity and demand forecasting, retail fresh food packaging and logistics optimization using IoT and climate data, and gaming industry revenue optimization, among others. Dave's educational background includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Bristol, as well as an MSc Computer Science boot camp in Distributed Ledgers and Crypto-Currencies from King's College London. He has also completed A levels and S levels in Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Electronics, and Computing from South Essex College. Dave's technical expertise includes blockchain, AI, Ethereum, Web3, Web, Python, ML, decentralised infra, Bitcoin, Dapp, Deep Learning, Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Azure, GCP, and Apache Hive. He has filed a number of US patents and is an IBM Business Partner.
