David Chen is a highly motivated and talented computer science student currently pursuing his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Harvey Mudd College. With a passion for technology and a strong academic background, David has gained extensive experience in software engineering and AI. He is a skilled software engineer with expertise in JavaScript, iOS, NodeJS, and Swift. David is currently working as a Computer Science Summer Institute (CSSI) intern at Google, where he is expanding his knowledge and skills in advanced technologies. He has expanded and presented 15 daily projects with JavaScript/Firebase and co-developed a crowdsourced trip planner final project, which he presented to Google employees and community leaders. He has also been mentored by Google engineers in the advanced track. Prior to his current role, David worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Scout AI, where he designed and built a merchant-facing real-time restaurant promotion iOS app with Swift/Firebase. He created demos for pitch decks, set up Auth/Firestore to sync with the consumer app, and deployed Node.js Cloud Functions to notify users and clean data. He also brainstormed and implemented business strategies based on restaurant feedback centered on loyalty and growth. David also worked as a Software Engineer at Slingshot, where he expanded and presented 15 daily projects with JavaScript/Firebase and co-developed a crowdsourced trip planner final project, which he presented to Google employees and community leaders. Apart from his professional experience, David has also completed a Robotics, High School Summer Program from the University of Texas. He completed his high school education from Princeton High School. David's technical expertise, combined with his academic background and professional experience, makes him an asset to any team.
