David Johnson is a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft with over 15 years of relevant experience. He is an expert in Azure, SQL, SDET, dotNET, test, ASP.NET, and integration. David loves how creating software can solve hard problems and create amazing things. He is passionate about breaking down the impossible and the unmanageable to the achievable and making that happen. Being a software engineer for him is making dreams into reality, both his own and bigger ones. David is constantly learning new technologies to open the door to solving harder problems and creating more amazing things, and most of all, he does that together with his team. He strives to constantly be both a student and a teacher, in software engineering and everything else in life. Currently, David is empowering customers through engineering the Microsoft Services Hub, where Microsoft customers come to get premium support, optimize the performance of their Azure services, and get advanced training in Azure technologies. In his past roles at Microsoft, he enabled HoloLens customer pilots built in Unity/Direct3D connected to Mixed Reality services, provided premium support to large enterprise customers deploying HoloLens solutions in commercial environments, and developed proof-of-concepts for breakthrough uses of NUI technologies, such as using Windows Hello for physical access control. David has a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from Digipen Institute of Technology, where he studied Real-Time Interactive Simulation. He has worked at Microsoft throughout his career, starting as a Senior SDET and then moving to Senior Software Engineer.
