David Reche is a technically focused senior product and engineer leader, internet entrepreneur, and computer science engineer with over 14 years of experience in leading teams across product development and management, software engineering, online projects, and eCommerce. He has a proven history of building consumer-focused tech products and teams from scratch and has the ability to work across multiple functions from technology, product, business, and design. David has been developing and creating Internet and online projects since 1998 and is a self-proclaimed "Digital Nomad." He bootstrapped his first company when he was just 15 years old and is now an advisor and investor in startups. David is currently the VP Product & Technology at Kingmakers, where he is leading product, design, engineering, data, devops/infrastructure, and security. He is building a world-class tech organization that is product-led focused on creating the entertainment platform of Africa. David has successfully scaled product and engineering from 49 to 150+ colleagues in one year. In addition to his current role, David has also served as the VP of Product at Kingmakers and an Angel Investor at Aureus Ventures, where he has made 50+ active startup angel investments. Aureus Ventures invests in technological disruptive startups led by great teams and entrepreneurs, with a focus on disruptive ideas, scalable and sustainable. Their main areas of focus are Fintech, Biotech, Consumer, Agritech, and B2B. David was a finalist of "Young Entrepreneur of the year" by ESADE Business School in 2012 and is a Prestashop Ambassador in UAE. He is also an IAESTE member. David has a diverse educational background, including a Certificate in Business Program from The University of Chicago - Booth School of Business, a Master's Degree in International e-Business from ICEX-CECO (Dirección Ejecutiva de Formación de ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones), a Master of Science in Computer Engineering and Management from Universitat Ramon Llull, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universitat Ramon Llull, a Fellowship in Entrepreneurship Campus from Seedrocket, a CCNA in Cisco Certified Network Administrator from Cisco Systems, and a High School degree in Economics from La Salle Manresa.
