As the CTO of John Snow Labs, he is responsible for leading the development of several cutting-edge AI products and services, including Spark NLP, Spark OCR, the Annotation Lab, and the Healthcare AI Platform. With over 16 years of relevant experience, David is a recognized expert in the field of AI and has a proven track record of successfully applying machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing (NLP) to real-world problems. He has a particular interest in healthcare, where he believes AI can make a significant difference in improving patient outcomes and reducing costs. David began his career as a software engineer and has since held a variety of leadership positions in both startups and established companies. Prior to joining John Snow Labs, he was the CTO of Pacific AI, where he led a team of AI experts in building enterprise-grade systems for high-compliance industries such as healthcare and life science. Before that, he worked as a team leader and architect at IAF. David holds a PhD in computer science from Hebrew University, as well as an MBA and an M.Sc. in computer science from the same institution. He also has a B.Sc. in computer science from Hebrew University.
