Debaditya Dey is an experienced software engineer with a passion for designing and implementing scalable and cost-effective software systems. With over 5 years of relevant experience, he has worked with top companies, including Walmart, Morgan Stanley, and Navifly. Currently, he is working as a Software Engineer III at Walmart Global Tech India, where he is building the next-gen data pipelines for omni-channel replenishment. He is responsible for developing and optimizing streaming services for streaming real-time data from distributed data sources, including Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, and Hive. He is also proficient in distributed systems and frameworks such as Spark, Apache Kafka, and Apache Storm. Debaditya is an avid technologist with multilingual proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Scala, C++, and more. He is also proficient in data engineering, microservices architecture, and distributed systems. He has a keen interest in AI and Machine Learning and has developed a few side projects, one of which has been published as a research paper on IJPAM. In his previous role as Interim Chief Technology Officer at Navifly, Debaditya led the technology team of 5 developers for NaviFly's Unmanned Aerial Systems Traffic Management (UTM) platform. He designed and architected systems for seamless integration with any type and make of UAV, making NaviATC a zero-hassle UTM, making civil aviation skies safer for operations. At Morgan Stanley, he worked as a Software Development Consultant, responsible for developing features for the Invoicing application for the Institutional Equities division. He was also responsible for the re-architecture and rewrite of various legacy Fixed Income product delivery applications for seamless usage experience by salespersons. Debaditya holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Government College of Engineering Aurangabad and a Specialization in Data Science & Machine Learning from Zero to Mastery Academy. He is proficient in various tech stacks, including Spring, Elastic Search, Java, Kafka, Spring Boot, MongoDB, Spark, Microservices, Big Data, and more.
