Debirupa Mitra is an Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at Birla Institute of Technology & Science Pilani, Hyderabad Campus. With a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering from the National University of Singapore, she has over 4 years of relevant experience as a Research Scientist. Her research interests include Surface modification, biomaterials, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, materials engineering, polymers, and nanomaterials. She has a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Jadavpur University. Prior to her current role, she worked as a Research Fellow at NUS Environmental Research Institute and as a Trainee Scientific Writer for Medical Devices at Cactus Communications. As an Assistant Professor, Debirupa is passionate about teaching and mentoring students in the field of Chemical Engineering. She is committed to providing a stimulating and engaging learning environment that encourages students to think critically and creatively. Debirupa is a highly motivated and dedicated professional who is committed to advancing the field of Chemical Engineering through her research and teaching.
