Debjyoti Ghosh is a final year undergraduate student at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, majoring in Applied Geology. He is a skilled full-stack developer with a strong interest in solving challenging real-world problems using Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and NLP technologies. Debjyoti is also an open-source enthusiast and actively works on web development using ReactJS/NodeJS. Debjyoti has gained valuable experience in his field through his work as a Full Stack Developer at Reflect App, where he is responsible for use case requirement gathering, technical spec preparation, DB architecture, development, testing, debugging, and deployment on the cloud. He has worked with various technologies such as NodeJS, ExpresssJS, React Native, Mongo DB, Firebase, and AWS. In the past, Debjyoti has worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Omdena, where he was involved in modeling food webs and forecasting populations for endangered wildlife species. He was responsible for automating web scraping, parsing downloaded PDFs and web pages, data annotation and preprocessing, and creating a deployable model to run in the cloud. Debjyoti has also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, where he developed a face mask detection model. He used labelEncoder to convert category labels to numerals, performed preprocessing of the test dataset using MTCNN library in Python, trained a feature extractor using CNN with 3 hidden layers, and applied Adam optimizer to increase accuracy by 6%, obtaining 92% training accuracy and 93% validation accuracy on a public dataset. Debjyoti will be joining Standard Chartered Bank as a Software Developer after his graduation in July 2022. He has a diverse tech stack, including Blockchain, AWS, ML, Computer Vision, NLP, MongoDB, ReactJS, and React Native. Debjyoti has 1.86 years of relevant experience and is a highly skilled and motivated individual who is passionate about solving complex problems using cutting-edge technology.
