Debprotim Roy is a seasoned entrepreneur and design expert with over 15 years of experience in the industry. He is the founder and CEO of Canvs, a community of over 10,000 designers across India, specializing in graphic design, digital product design, motion design, animation, and illustration. Canvs provides design as a service to companies, harnessing the power of its extensive community of designers to execute large-scale design projects for firms such as Aditya Birla Capital and ICICI bank. As CEO and founder of Canvs, Debprotim is responsible for building design systems, front-facing consumer products, and business products. He is passionate about machine learning and information design and often consults with firms on designing and building products. Debprotim's expertise in design has helped him lead the design team at AGS Transact Technologies, where he was the Chief Design Advisor for online products and ecosystem. During his tenure, he redesigned the entire product infrastructure of AGS and its subsidiary companies, including the consumer wallet app and website, merchant app, and Ongo ATM machines. Debprotim also has experience working in consumer insights and intelligence, where he assessed consumer and business end behavior to gauge a company's positioning from a brand and business standpoint. He has a dual degree in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and completed his ICSE Standard 10th from St. Xavier's School, Ranchi. Debprotim's tech stack includes expertise in product design, machine learning, infrastructure, and UI. He is currently hiring interface designers, design managers, and marketers for Canvs and is committed to removing geographic barriers from the process of getting good product design done while ensuring complete accountability and transparency.
