Deep Vyas is a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft with over 5 years of relevant experience in the industry. He is a computer science enthusiast and a graduate from BITS-Pilani with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science. Deep is keen to explore various paradigms in computer science and engineering and has developed a strong interest in Applied Machine Learning and Cloud Native Application Development. At Microsoft, Deep is currently working as a Software Engineer - II as a part of the Azure SQL Database Group. In his previous role at Goldman Sachs, he was a part of the Cloud Platforms Team responsible for building out common services and engineering patterns for the goal of building a BaaS (Banking as a Service) offering under Marcus bandwagon. His work here involved building out shared services for the platform to handle common concerns like Authorization, sending out communications and maintaining customer profiles. Along with this, he managed core libraries to maintain uniform patterns across layers like web security, cryptography, access to data stores (like Mongo, S3, RDS, DynamoDB), using messaging queues (like Kafka), and using Serverless Compute (like Lambdas). He also managed large MongoDB deployments on the cloud in association with MongoDB Atlas and was working on building a change-data-capture platform to help with ingesting changes on their data stores to their DataLake for satisfying governance and compliance regulations. Before joining Goldman Sachs, Deep worked as a Software Engineer at Samsung in the ATL Research Division. His work there involved developing cognitive applications in the field of vision for Samsung flagship devices. In specific, the work revolved around the development of Deep Neural Models for large class Object Recognition and the development of several modules in the core on-device AI engine of Bixby Vision, which deploys the above neural models in the latest flagship devices by Samsung. Deep's technical skills include Software Engineering, SQL, MongoDB, ML, Azure, Kafka, Web, AI, Research Scientist, and Mobile. He is a highly skilled and motivated individual with a passion for exploring new technologies and paradigms in computer science and engineering.
