Deepak Gopalakrishnan is a content and marketing freelancer with over 14 years of experience in digital marketing. He has worked with several brands and has a decent grasp of digital marketing and an ability to see through bluster. Deepak can help lay out a brand strategy with ideas, marketing calendar, develop pitch decks, digital marketing, content/IP ideas, website content, and more. He focuses on making practical plans rather than stuff that looks pretty on a PPT. Deepak has worked in various categories while formally working and has freelanced for companies in SaaS, nutrition, personal audio, interior decor, music, and more. He is particularly interested in helping young companies unsure about what to do with respect to marketing and have limited budgets. Apart from his freelancing work, Deepak is also a digital marketing instructor and has taught a practical form of digital marketing strategy in top universities and business schools since 2013. He has also started his own online course with an emphasis on practicality and several examples, especially Indian ones. He teaches by example and experience, rather than too much gas and jargon. He loves to work on tech-culture-opinion pieces and has written on topics ranging from cricket to politics, from BSchools to independent music. Deepak has a PGDM in Communications from Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad, and a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from Government Engineering College, Thrissur. He also attended Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vaduthala, Kochi. He is a research scientist with relevant experience of 14.45 years.
