Deepak Prabakar is a Product Analyst with over 5 years of experience across various domains such as product management, customer success, data science, and engineering. He started his career as a mechanical engineer at Bosch and gradually moved towards self-driving vehicles, exploring AI and coding. Joining the product team helped him find what he was seeking, and he has been able to drive broader impact by growing relationships with customers and building features that are most important to them. He has worked closely with varied stakeholders such as C-level executives, developers, sales folk, and customers, which has helped him grow both personally and professionally. Currently, Deepak is working at Tangerine Innovation as a Product Analyst, where he has ideated, planned, and implemented features like "Overspeeding Detection" and "Vehicle Trailer Pairing" among others, which have been deployed on 1k+ vehicles. He has built relationships with 20+ customers through demos, onboarding, feature and support requests, and liaised with the customer and development teams to build and release a customized version of their last-mile delivery system. Deepak's past experience includes working as a Data Scientist at Tangerine Innovation and as a Machine Learning Engineer at Neva Innovation Labs. He spearheaded the development of "Comparative Negligence," a first-in-industry vision-based system that assigns liabilities to parties involved in road accidents. He also built and deployed an end-to-end Route Planning system for last-mile delivery services and developed and iteratively improved various models for crash detection from dashcam footage. Deepak has a General Management Programme from Stoa School, an Exchange Student degree in Biomechanics from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, and a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Amrita University. His technical skills include product management, data science, AI, ML, and research scientist. In his free time, Deepak enjoys singing, surfing, baking, and making it a point to enjoy the small things in life.
