Deepak Vasudevan is a passionate AI engineer and current MSc Business Analytics student at the University of Southampton. With 2.85 years of relevant experience, he has worked at IQVIA as a software engineer, where he was responsible for building a web application using Python and Django, which quantified the entire production process at IQVIA. His efforts were appreciated and applauded by both his peers and superiors equally. Deepak has experience in automating projects using PowerShell, which helped save time and resources. He has also gained exposure to backend applications such as SQL server and SQLite, frontend applications like QlikView, Qlik sense, Power BI, and IQVIA's internal tool- Reportive. He has worked with world-class pharmaceutical clients such as AstraZeneca, Pfizer, P&G, and Unilever, which has given him a unique perspective on the pharmaceutical industry. During his time at IQVIA, Deepak found clarity towards his career goals and decided to pursue a professional degree that would be an accurate amalgamation of both his people's personal skills and his love for data. Business analytics provided a proper blend of both, and the right course from a prestigious and well-established university would help him achieve great career prospects. Deepak envisions himself playing an integral part in years to come as he transitions into the role of BA and creates a position for himself in the top management. In order to achieve the same, he must now add on to the foundational knowledge, corporate experience he has gained and devote his resources in understanding the key factors that would contribute to the growth of the global economy.
