Deepika Kanojia is an R&D Project Executive at Singapore Education Academy with a passion for solving teaching and learning problems through creative instructional design and pedagogy innovation using emerging technologies. She is enthusiastic about Learning by Doing activities (Lbd's) and has a keen interest in Instructional Designing, Pedagogy Innovation, Learning Analytics, Intelligent Tutoring System, Affective Computing, Teaching Enhanced Learning, Psychophysiological sensors such as Eye Tracker and EEG. Deepika has a Master of Technology in Educational/Instructional Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication from BBD NIIT. She has 4.53 years of relevant experience in her field. In her current role, Deepika has conducted literature reviews on why some learners lag behind and don't succeed even when they work hard. Her research has revealed that low working memory can be a reason for learners' low academic performance. To provide a solution, she developed an educational game/training tool prototype to enhance working memory capacity using Unity App engine and scripted the objects in the game/training environment using C#. She is grateful to her mentor for his guidance during her internship, which has made a substantial boost in her career. Prior to her current role, Deepika worked as a Pedagogy Researcher and Educational Game Designer & Developer at Educational Initiatives, where she conducted literature reviews and developed educational games and training tools. She also worked as a Culture Secretary at IIT Bombay, where she managed and organized cultural activities and events to create a memorable and joyful environment for residents of Hostel-15. Deepika is a designer and research scientist with a strong interest in using technology to enhance teaching and learning. She is a dedicated and enthusiastic professional who is committed to making a positive impact in the education sector.
