About
Deepthi Ayyagari is a passionate Space Engineer with over 6.5 years of experience in developing, maintaining, and upgrading versions of Navigation software used for scientific research. She possesses a strong background in data analysis in the domain of GNSS and NavIC. Deepthi is a creative thinker with an extensive background in atmospheric research and engineering principles. She is currently working as a Doctoral Research Scholar at the Indian Institute of Technology, where she is also the Chair of the institute. Deepthi has designed and developed algorithms using MATLAB and Python for GNSS data (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS and NavIC) to analyze extreme space weather conditions. She has hands-on experience with GPS signal processing for Precise Point Positioning tests. She has proven ability of programming skills to process satellite imagery and computed actionable insights and built pipelines from massive data sets with minimal support. Deepthi has also attained conceptual basics of Radio Interferometry and spacecraft ranging techniques. As a Teaching Assistant at IIT Indore, Deepthi has assisted in delivering lectures to undergraduate and postgraduate students and attained a strong research and conceptual background with coursework in the following areas: Satellite-based Navigation Systems, Kalman Filter Design & Applications, Guidance & Control Systems, and Space Weather. She has also mentored more than five undergraduate students for their technical projects in the domain of Machine Learning techniques to detect Space Weather Events (Forecast) at IIT Indore between 2018 and 2021. Deepthi holds a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from IIT, a Master of Science (MS) in Satellite Meteorology & Weather Informatics from JNTU, and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from MLR Institute of Technology. She has also completed her Intermediate from Narayana Junior College and SSC from St. Joseph's High School. Deepthi's tech stack includes Research Scientist, ML, and Python. She has 3.10 years of relevant experience. Deepthi is an active member of IEEE-IITI-SB outreach activities and has initiated the formation of IEEE Student Branch in IIT Indore. She has also served as SOC chair of 'RASS' and 'SAR,' an international workshop, and is a Graduate Student Member of IEEE GRSS chapter and IEEE NTC chapter
