Derick Jose is a co-founder of Flutura, a pioneering Decision Sciences company that is changing the way industrial operations are conducted in Energy & Engineering industries by using AI to impact measurable business outcomes. With over 10 years of relevant experience, Derick is a visionary leader who is passionate about transforming industries through the power of AI. Derick's leadership has helped Flutura's Industrial AI product, Cerebra, to be deployed in 20+ countries globally. Some of the world's most trusted companies, including Shell, Henkel, GTT, and ABB, have trusted Flutura to transform their operations. The company was even ranked #1 by Gartner PEERINSIGHTS based on actual customer feedback. Flutura's platform is being used by LNG Carriers, Refineries, Process Chemical Industries, and Large equipment OEMs in Houston, Dusseldorf, Chicago, Shanghai, Paris, and Tokyo. The name Flutura means butterfly, inspired by nature's greatest transformation of a caterpillar to a butterfly. Derick and his team are obsessed with trust and transformation and align their daily lives on these core principles. Derick is currently serving as an Organizing Committee member for the Industrial AI Consortium Deeptech community at Blume Ventures. He has also worked as Vice Chair for the IEEE Global Industrial AI Standards Committee and as a Visiting Faculty member at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford d.school. Derick holds a B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. He also attended R.S. Krishnan Higher Secondary School in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. His tech stack includes AI and designer skills. Derick believes that the number of industrial processes and equipment's connected to the internet will unleash a whole new wave of blue ocean opportunities for the entire ecosystem.
