Devanshu Agarwal is a skilled Software Engineer with a passion for cutting-edge technologies. He is experienced in Backend Systems, Distributed Architecture, Microservices, Java, Python, GCP, and ML. Devanshu is known for his ability to tinker around with real-world problems and come up with efficient solutions. He strongly believes that end-user happiness is the only real-world problem that each developer should look forward to solving. Currently, Devanshu is working as a Software Engineer at Amazon. Prior to this, he worked as a Software Engineer at AirAsia where he was responsible for designing and implementing the smart price caching system to handle large scale requests with the latest prices. He also optimized the storage strategy to handle large data which increased their look to book ratio and helped them support a large number of users concurrently. Additionally, he created room deduplication among different suppliers for the hotels, which helped users find the best room. Devanshu developed the admin dashboard from scratch to help the business team with data manipulation and addition, making the system more transparent for both business and development teams. He also onboarded new suppliers which increased their inventory, especially for China, and helped them show new hotels with low prices and best policies for existing ones. Devanshu has also worked as a Summer Intern at Google Summer of Code, where he created a framework in Qt to perform hypothesis testing and correlation coefficient testing in Labplot. He developed backend verification tests on data to guide users with the right test to perform on the data and also show them the meaning of the result and not just the numbers. Devanshu holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Dharwad.
