Devashish Shankar is a seasoned Principal Architect with over 9 years of relevant experience in the field of Computer Vision, AI, and ML. He is currently working as a Founding Engineer and Principal Architect at Drishti, where he is leading the ML team. Drishti is a cutting-edge company that builds computer vision models for the factory floor, and Devashish is responsible for solving various exciting problems for productionizing state-of-the-art computer vision models. Devashish's expertise lies in exploring promising research directions such as semi-supervised learning, few-shot learning, meta-learning, spatio-temporal action localization, vision transformers, etc. He is also building a Self Serve AI and MLOps platform to easily train and deploy models, continuously monitor and retrain models on mistakes for maintaining daily accuracy. Prior to his current role, Devashish worked as a Data Scientist at Flipkart, where he worked on several projects, including a Deep Learning-based Visual Similarity system and a Neural Network Retail Modeling system for recommendations.
