Devender Singh is an Associate Director-Technical with over 15 years of experience in the highways industry. He is a highly qualified highway engineer with a proven track record of leading project teams on various highways projects in India, UK, UAE, and Qatar. Devender has experience in leading highway design teams from the inception stage to the detailed design stage and submission of tender documents. Devender is an experienced man-manager and an expert in using British, Indian, AASHTO, UAE, and Qatar codes of practice. He is currently working with Jacobs as an Associate Director-Technical, where he is responsible for overseeing technical aspects of the company's projects. Prior to this, he worked with Jacobs as a Chief Engineering Manager / Design Manager and with Atkins as a Senior Engineer-Highways. Devender's responsibilities at Atkins included highway design and design guidance to other team members related to technical analysis and design, report preparation, cost estimating, the preparation and review of drawings, contract specifications/documentation, as well as liaison with all discipline team members. He led a team of engineers to develop high-quality solutions on time and budget, developed design criteria, detailed engineering design, and working drawings using Highway Design Software- MX Road/ Civil 3D, AutoCAD. Devender also assigned work to and checked/reviewed the project team's work and ensured compliance with business management standards set in the company's quality, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. Devender has a Master's degree in Highway Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology. He is a senior software engineer with relevant experience of 21.95 years. Devender's major projects include Ashghal (PWA) - Local Roads and Drainage Programme, Doha, Qatar, for which he was the design manager. He liaised with the PMC and Ashghal to ensure standardization across all projects.
