Devesh Gobind is a final-year undergraduate student pursuing BTech in Chemical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He is a talented individual with a passion for technology and leadership. Devesh has demonstrated his leadership skills by holding various positions of responsibility in different organizations. Currently, he is the General Secretary of Alumni Affairs at Nehru Hall of Residence, IIT Kharagpur, where he has raised a total of 500K USD out of the total budget of 2.1 M USD for the hall's renovation campaign by reaching out to alumni from 30 different batches. He has also led the renovation of 115 rooms, music room, and badminton court, working closely with a team of alumni and hall boarders, with a budget of 120K USD. Devesh has organized the Ground Breaking Ceremony of Hall renovation campaign with Director IIT KGP, President IIT KGP Foundation India, and USA as Chief Guest. He has managed the Hall Visit during the Alumni Meet, introducing over 5 new initiatives to improve the experience of Alumni revisiting their hall of residence. Apart from his leadership skills, Devesh is also a Software Engineer with expertise in NoSQL, MongoDB, and Backend development. He has worked as a BIU Intern at Piramal and SDE Intern at Persistent. Devesh has also served as the Governor and Head of the Student Welfare Group, where he has implemented various initiatives to improve the welfare of students. Devesh is a co-founder of KGP Gaming and the Executive Head of the Chess Club at IIT KGP. He has a strong passion for gaming and chess and has organized various tournaments and events. Devesh is a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow. He is a team player and has excellent communication skills. With his diverse skill set and leadership experience, Devesh is well-positioned to make a significant contribution to any organization.
