Devesh Thakur is a diligent and enthusiastic software engineer with extensive experience in Java, C++, data structures, and algorithms. He is a quick learner and has a talent for understanding new products and code bases. Devesh has a proven track record of resolving escalated issues directly with stakeholders and delivering solutions with high satisfaction and end-customer retention. Currently, Devesh is working for Arcserve as a Software Engineer, where he is responsible for root cause analysis for customer issues, providing fixes, and making feature enhancements in the existing product. He has quickly adapted to various product and module ownership changes starting from VMWare ESXi VM backups, Microsoft Hyper-V VM backup and restore, and moving on to Linux backups. Devesh is adept at various Linux distros and familiar with AWS cloud infrastructure. Prior to this, Devesh worked as an Associate Software Engineer at Arcserve and as an intern at GE Digital, where he enabled the Continuous Integration Testing of their HMI/SCADA application- "iFix" and took sole responsibility for automating the tests for the Industrial IoT application. Devesh has completed his Master of Computer Applications from the University of Hyderabad with 8.35 CGPA and cleared the National Eligibility Test for Assistant Professor with Computer Science and Applications as the subject. He has also led a project funded by UPE Phase II at HCU, Govt. of India, where the team developed an Android voice-controlled audio-book navigation and reading application for the visually challenged. Devesh is enthusiastic about everything related to server scalability, information retrieval, and optimizing computing and storage resources. His tech stack includes software engineering, Java, AWS, information retrieval, CI/CD, integration, infra, and Android. With over 5 years of relevant experience, Devesh is a valuable asset to any organization.
