Devesh Verma is a highly motivated software engineer with over 5 years of relevant experience in the industry. He is a problem solver who believes in learning on the go and building projects that can create a significant impact in the community. Devesh has a passion for giving back to the community and has contributed to open-source projects and mentored students in various open-source programs like GSoC, GCI, RGSoC, and GSSoC. Currently, Devesh is working as an SDE 2 at Springworks, where he has developed trivia for Zoom Apps to reach a larger audience. He is also working with the team Trivia and has added a new game format to Trivia (TrueOrFalse) to increase engagement. Devesh has also refactored the codebase to scale for multiple platforms. Previously, Devesh worked as a Software Engineer and Software Intern at Shaw Academy, where he built real-time data streaming services, reduced delay in report generation, and built scripts to populate data into ContentStack (CMS) from multiple sources. He also created a backup system to send reminders to students for upcoming lessons, developed a voucher creation CLI and validation service, transferred data to CRMs using CRON jobs, and built a dashboard for educators to update existing course contents. Devesh also integrated Freshchat with the existing chatbot to provide a seamless experience and handled partnerships, getting requirements to development solely. Devesh holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Technology from Dayananda Sagar University and completed his 12th from Kendriya Vidyalaya Air Force Station BKT. He has experience working with a range of technologies, including Javascript, MongoDB, NodeJS, AWS, NLU, Web, Big Data, and Mobile. Devesh is a GSoC Mentor-19,20, a GCI Mentor-19, and is always looking for opportunities to learn and grow in the industry. He is a team player, an excellent communicator, and has a proven track record of delivering high-quality work.
