Devika Shanbhag is a highly motivated and passionate software engineer with a strong desire to leverage technology for social good. She strongly believes that education can change the world and is driven to make a positive impact through her work. Devika is currently working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, where she is assisting in teaching the course 17780: API Design and Implementation. In this role, she is responsible for designing rubrics for assignments, grading homework, conducting office hours, and providing support to students to help them learn effectively. Prior to this, Devika worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, where she worked on Electronic Design Automation using Reinforcement Learning. She was part of the Visual Design and Engineering Lab and worked on a DARPA-sponsored project. Devika also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the course 18-749: Building Reliable Distributed Systems in Fall 2020, taught by Professor Priya Narasimhan. Devika has a strong educational background, with a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering. She also holds a Higher Secondary Certificate in Computer Science from Ramnivas Ruia Junior College and a Secondary School Certificate from Swami Vivekanand High School, Chembur, Mumbai. Devika's technical skills include software engineering, research science, and reinforcement learning. She has a relevant experience of 3.69 years and is always eager to learn and teach. She is a team player and enjoys collaborating with others to solve problems. Devika is passionate about making a difference in the world through her work and is constantly striving to improve herself and her skills.
