Devin Flood is a highly skilled software engineer with a diverse background in chemical engineering. He discovered his passion for programming while teaching himself Visual Basic to increase his efficiency in Excel. Since then, he has built full-stack web applications with MongoDB/Express and PostgreSQL/Rails on the back-end, and React/Redux on the front-end. Devin is a problem solver who enjoys tackling challenges head-on, and he is always willing to put in the hard work to find solutions. Currently, Devin is a Software Engineer II at MyVest, where he applies his expertise in software engineering to build innovative solutions. In the past, he worked as a Principal Process Engineer at AET Inc., where he was responsible for supporting the AET Process® technology portfolio. His responsibilities included screening potential projects for feasibility, interfacing with clients, and developing Process Design Packages. He also worked at Lanxess as a PBR Technical Analyst, where he provided technical analysis and support to the Head of Global Manufacturing for the butadiene rubber business unit. Devin's education includes a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Villanova University and a degree in Computer Software Engineering from App Academy. His technical skills include software engineering, web development, Ruby, MongoDB, Redux, front-end, and back-end development.
