Devleena Bhattacharjee is a highly experienced data scientist with over 15 years of experience across the US, Europe, New Zealand, and India. She is passionate about building data-driven products, finding patterns, trends, and solving real-world problems with data-driven insights. Devleena is the Founder and CEO of Numer8 Analytics, a big geo data science company that focuses on building traceable, profitable, and sustainable fisheries globally using their product OFish. They analyze satellite data, IoT data, and various other forms of data to provide daily insights in their app OFish. The insights help marine fisherfolks to reduce their operational costs and increase their sales margin, fish buyers to get quality assurance and complete supply chain traceability. Numer8 Analytics is ESA BIC Incubated and selected by the United Nations World Food Program for addressing multiple SDGs -2, 14, 10, and 12. Devleena is an expert in predictive and prescriptive analysis and helps businesses and governments take proactive decisions. She uses geospatial data for macro decisions affecting government and businesses and also deep dives to ground truth signals for complete and thorough insights. Currently, she is the Chairman of FICCI Sub-committee on Fishtech, where the aim of FICCI’s Fishtech Initiative is to explore focus areas that can be jointly developed using collaborated resources from various stakeholders of the fisheries sector. The aim is to identify all focus areas that need addressing and how the focus group can jointly pull together resources and support to plan initiatives even at pilot level to bring about the change. Devleena is an avid reader and an explorer. She loves spending hours researching on her work in general, current affairs, world history, social sciences, and dark matter forming our universe. She catches interest in almost every topic of discussion, which might be a matter of worry but has been very rewarding so far. Devleena has had the opportunity to closely experience places, people, culture from diversified backgrounds, and the experience has taught her invaluable life lessons. Devleena has a degree in MCA from Bangalore University and a bachelor's degree in Statistics/Mathematics/Computer Science from the same university. She has also completed a
