Dhaarna Sethi is a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer with over 3 years of relevant experience in designing and implementing new features for web applications. Currently working at Visa, she has led the design and implementation of several new features for the Angular and Spring-based Business Portal Web Application, such as allowing Virtual Cards and Global File Delivery endpoints. She has also converted a multi-page UI flow into a single API endpoint that facilitated the bulk registration of 15k users in one go and enhanced the UI/UX to make it accessible for differently abled users as per International WCAG standards. Additionally, she has redesigned legacy APIs to retrieve data from central data sources, thereby eliminating data redundancy. Dhaarna has also worked as a Software Development Intern at Visa where she created and integrated a chatbot into an existing analytics platform to ease usage for clients and support teams. She has built an end-to-end application using Angular and rasa framework and created UI, action server, and database helper that fetches a response from pre-existing APIs. Before joining Visa, she worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at Delhi Technological University (formerly DCE) where she worked under the guidance of Dr. Seba Susan and developed a Lung Nodule Identification system using CT Scan images. She used various machine learning techniques such as feature encoding, CNNs, and transfer learning to achieve state of the art results. Dhaarna is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Software Engineering - Scalable Systems from Carnegie Mellon University and is expected to graduate in December 2023. She holds a Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from Delhi Technological University (formerly DCE), which she completed in January 2020. Her tech stack includes Software Engineering, UI, Spring, Web, AngularJS, Research Scientist, and ML. Dhaarna is a highly motivated individual who is always eager to learn and grow.
