Dhaval Kapil is an experienced Application Security Engineer currently working at Meta (formerly known as Facebook). With over 5 years of relevant experience, he has worked with some of the top companies in the industry, including Splunk and Georgia Institute of Technology. At Splunk, Dhaval worked as a Product Security Intern, where he was responsible for identifying vulnerabilities in the product's components and developing an automated reconnaissance tool that detected different kinds of APIs accessible. He found over 20 vulnerabilities and multiple RCEs in the Splunk cloud. Before joining Splunk, Dhaval worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology, where he taught courses on Network Security and Information Security Lab. He has also worked on various research projects during his time at the institute. Dhaval has a Master's degree in Information Security from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Roorkee. He also has a High School degree from St. Kabir Public School. Dhaval has a strong technical background and is proficient in AWS, Kubernetes, and Research Science.
