Dhawal Sanghvi is an experienced Software Engineer with a demonstrated history of working in the computer software industry. He is currently working as an SDE 2 at RudderStack, where he has developed an internal service responsible for collecting metadata for all data pipelines that run on RudderStack. He has scaled the service from receiving 10K writes/min to around 150K writes/min and is currently working on scaling it further. He moved the service from Python to Node, did a lot of correctness tests (automated) to make sure the API response is exactly the same as before, and scaled the service as the load kept increasing. He also built a monitoring and alerting system to keep a check on service health. In his role as an SDE - Services - ETL, Dhawal worked in the ETL team and worked on the ETL module of the open-source rudder-server repository. He worked on key improvements around performance, code refactor, etc. He deployed this on Kubernetes and used Postgres and Golang as the tech stack. Dhawal has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata. He also has a background in ISC and ICSE from M.C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth.
