Dhiraj Gupta is a seasoned engineering professional with over 21 years of experience in the field of cloud computing, distributed systems, networking, storage, operating systems, virtualization technologies, and high-performance computing. He is currently a Senior Engineering Manager at AWS, where he manages a large organization and is responsible for hiring technical leaders, individual contributors, and managers who are passionate about solving complex problems with simple solutions. Dhiraj has built a ground-up large organization and led it to build and operate tier-0 hyper-scale services at AWS and Microsoft Azure. He has a proven track record of delivering customer-focused products and features that have been widely adopted by the industry. Currently, Dhiraj runs the AWS data-center Network Capacity Services organization, where he leads a large and distributed team of smart Amazonians. He is excited to be at the heart of serving so many AWS customers every day and improving the availability of the AWS network at optimal cost. He also played a significant role in building the organization ground up and leading the launch of the AWS Global Accelerator (edge-computing) product. Prior to joining AWS, Dhiraj worked at Microsoft Azure and Windows Core Operating Systems Division, where he managed teams delivering Software Load balancer (SLB), Software Defined Network (SDN), Network Function Virtualization (NFV), Azure DNS, Network Security, Firewall, IPSec, Site-to-Site (S2S), and Point-to-Site (P2S) VPNs. He also worked as a Technical Lead at Openclovis. Dhiraj holds an M. Tech in Computer Science from IISc. He has a strong tech stack that includes AWS, Senior Software Engineer, product manager, Research Scientist, Azure, and Web.
