Prior to joining Amazon, Dhrupad worked at Swiggy and Flipkart, where he held key positions in category management, cataloging, and product taxonomy. At Swiggy, he built the Swiggy Dash (Stores) module from a category and catalog perspective, introducing a taxonomy system to improve browse and user experience. He also introduced a convenience model and on-boarded major players from the meat, pharmacy, and supermart categories to increase selection and catalog depth. Dhrupad contributed to a 10x rise in OPD for Swiggy stores in just three months and handled promotions, festive campaigns, and merchandising tasks. At Flipkart, Dhrupad led the Browse Taxonomy Team and was responsible for launching the taxonomy systems for 2Gud, itemization, and swatches feature for multiple variants in the same product, and taxonomy for large, small, dangerous, and fragile products. He also played an integral role in the launch of Flipkart Supermart grocery and private labels and in-house brands. Dhrupad holds a Bachelor of Computer Applications from Dayananda Sagar University and completed his schooling from Basil School in Baroda.
