Dhruv Gupta is a self-taught developer with over 7 years of experience in building Android applications. He specializes in developing apps for various domains including Augmented Reality, High Performance Audio/Video Processing, and Social Media. Dhruv has a working knowledge of some machine learning applications and is skilled in Java, Kotlin, C++, and Python. Currently, Dhruv is working as a Senior Android Architect at img.ly, where he is responsible for developing and maintaining Android applications. In his previous role as an Android Developer at invideo, he developed the media side of the video editor, including multi-layer playback using Exo Player, export media using low-level Media Codec API’s, and resample and mix audio using Oboe C++ and custom mixing algorithms. Prior to his current role, Dhruv worked as a Software Engineer – IV at Intel, where he contributed to and maintained an open-source Android application to control Arduino-based robot cars. He also researched machine learning models for autonomous driving using object detection and tracking. Dhruv developed a modular codebase using Jetpack Architecture Components to ease contribution to the project. He wrote unit and UI tests using Roboelectric and Junit and integrated them with Github Actions for error checks. Dhruv holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology. He also completed his High School from Sardar Patel Vidyalaya and Middle School from St. Joseph's Academy. Apart from his professional work, Dhruv is passionate about building apps and considers it both his profession and hobby. He is also skilled in SQL, Tensorflow, Dagger, and Integration, making him a well-rounded developer. With his relevant experience of 7.53 years, Dhruv is a valuable asset to any team.
