Dhruv Khattar is a highly skilled Software Engineer with expertise in Information Retrieval, Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning. He is currently working at Amazon Web Services as a Software Development Engineer. Dhruv holds a B.Tech and MS by Research in Computer Science from the International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad, where he was a Gold Medallist. During his time at IIIT Hyderabad, Dhruv worked under Prof. Vasudeva Varma and Dr Manish Gupta in the Information Retrieval and Extraction Laboratory. He was involved in several projects related to Computational Journalism, such as News Recommendation, Clickbait Detection, Fact Checking, and Fake News Detection. Dhruv has also worked as a Google Summer of Code Intern at Scilab Enterprises, where he worked on a project aimed at solving memory issues faced by the Scilab codebase. He was also a Google Summer of Code Mentor at Scilab Enterprises, where he mentored two projects related to developing Machine Learning features in Scilab and providing a wrapper of Matlab MEX files on the Scilab API. In addition to his professional experience, Dhruv has also worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Algorithms course at IIIT Hyderabad. His responsibilities included holding tutorial sessions and setting assignment problems.
