Dhruv Nathawani is a Senior ML Research Engineer at Salesforce, where he is currently working with the AI research team. With over 6 years of relevant experience, he has a proven track record of delivering exceptional results in the field of machine learning. Prior to joining Salesforce, Dhruv worked as a Machine Learning Research Engineer at Apple, where he focused on various projects involving Computer Vision, Reinforcement Learning, and Deep Learning techniques. He has worked on a range of projects, including object detection, semantic segmentation, face recognition, generative models, deep reinforcement learning, annotation of datasets, on-device machine learning, and deploying machine learning models. Dhruv is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), where he completed a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical and Computer Engineering. During his time at CMU, he worked on projects involving Computer Vision, Advanced Algorithms, Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, and more. He also worked as a TA in the Machine Learning department and a Research Assistant at various labs in the Robotics Institute. In addition to his work at Apple and Salesforce, Dhruv has also worked as a Research Assistant at NavLab (Robotics Institute) at Carnegie Mellon University. His objective in this project was to develop a detector that can find infrastructure objects in images on NavLab database of road images. Currently, they use classic computer vision techniques, and his role was to build a detector using state-of-the-art deep learning techniques to improve upon the current results.
