Dhruv Soni is a highly motivated Transport Planner with a passion for sustainable transport. He is currently working as a Senior Associate in Management Consulting in Ports and Logistics at PwC. Dhruv has spent more than 4 years in the field of Transport Modelling at WSP, where he delivered several end-to-end high-quality projects for the UK using industry standard software packages VISSIM, Paramics, LinSig and Junctions 9, while having a constant eye towards sustainability. Dhruv has completed his master’s degree in Transportation Engineering from IIT Kharagpur and attended TU Darmstadt, Germany as an exchange student as a part of DAAD Fellowship Program. He is a DAAD fellow with a keen interest in sustainable transport and is working towards improving the public transport systems in Indian cities and their electrification. Dhruv has completed his 2 years' tenure in Taskforce team at WSP, that works closely with the Senior Management in line with the strategic objectives of the business. For one year the team worked on creating a roadmap for achieving target for Carbon Emission Reduction and work towards aspirations to achieve Carbon Neutrality for the organization, wherein Dhruv served as the chair of the team. For another year, he worked on 'Engineering Process Automation' to identify potential fields of automation across the business. Dhruv has also worked as a Senior Associate - Transport Systems and Electric Mobility at ITDP-India and as an Engineer at WSP in India. He has completed his BTech (Hons) in Civil Engineering from CEPT University. Dhruv is proficient in Python and VBA and is actively using and improving his skills in these areas. He is also extending his capabilities in VISSIM using COM Interface. With his relevant experience of 5.70 years, Dhruv is a valuable asset to any organization looking to improve their transport systems and sustainability practices.
