Dhruv Verma is an experienced technology developer with a passion for natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning (ML). Currently working as a Software Engineer Intern at Microsoft, Dhruv has a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry, with a focus on web development using Reactjs, Android development, Python, Java, and software development. Dhruv's academic research interests lie in the field of natural language processing for information retrieval, along with the application of machine learning methods to biomedical image analysis and classification. He has also worked as a teaching assistant for CSE 354 (undergraduate NLP) under Prof. Niranjan Balasubramaniam at Stony Brook University. Dhruv has previously worked as a Software Engineer at Hewlett Packard, where he worked on HPE 3PAR's NAS file storage product - File Persona - as a developer. He was responsible for feature development, bug fixing, Dev side testing, and release to integration for File Persona version 1.5.7 and File Persona version 1.6.0. The tech stack in use was TCL, Java, and Python. Dhruv holds a Master's of Science in Computer Science from Stony Brook University, where he is currently pursuing his degree, and a Bachelor of Technology - BTech in Computer Science from Manipal Institute of Technology. He completed his schooling from The Shri Ram School. Dhruv is proficient in a wide range of tech stacks, including software engineering, NLP, information retrieval, web development, ML, Android, Python, Java, test, ReactJS, integration, and backend.
