Dibyajyoti Ghosal is a highly skilled Software Engineer and Philomath with over 5 years of experience. Currently working as an SDE II at Coinswitch, Dibyajyoti specializes in backend engineering and has a keen interest in scalable systems. He has been instrumental in building the exchange for Coinswitch, which is used by an impressive 18 million customer base. Dibyajyoti has worked on the matching engine and the ledger for the exchange, supporting over 100,000 order matching per second. He has also built a robust and scalable rates server that uses websockets with socket.io, along with a redis adapter for socket.io and rooms to ensure minimal data pulling from the server using sockets. He has implemented orchestrated Saga for distributed transactions, ensuring the correct sync of payment status between multiple systems. Furthermore, Dibyajyoti has worked on a general ledger to scale it for millions of requests and implemented system-wide transactions to ensure data integrity during outages. Prior to Coinswitch, Dibyajyoti worked as a Software Engineer at Quicksell and Getbaqala. At Getbaqala, he decomposed the existing monolith into smaller micro-services, written scalable code in MongoDB, Experss, Nodejs, and set up a 3 node Kafka-Zookeeper cluster to use Kafka as a message broker. He also added Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines for the micro-services, added monitoring of server metrics using Prometheus and Grafana, and set up Consul for service Discovery and Traefik for load balancing. Dibyajyoti holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology. He also has a background in Science from Mahesh Sri Ramkrishna Assram Rishra.
