Dilip Jain is a co-founder at Gullak, a startup that recently got selected for Y Combinator's S22 batch. He is a highly motivated engineer who believes in the power of technology to solve real-world problems. Dilip is excited about building Anti Fragile distributed systems with a focus on high-performance, resiliency, and robustness. He loves building Zero to One products and solving users' problems through code. Dilip's technical skills include Haskell, Backend System Design, Data Modelling, Kubernetes, AWS Cloud Architecture, and NoSQL. He has 7.61 years of relevant experience in the software industry. Before co-founding Gullak, Dilip was the Head of Engineering at Juspay, where he was responsible for architecting Juspay's UPI stack. He built a horizontally scalable UPI PSP using cutting-edge technologies like Kubernetes, Haskell, NoSQLDB (DynamoDB), and AutoPilot, which is deployed in three banks, processes 7 million payments/day, and is load-tested to handle 10,000 payments/sec. Dilip was also involved in building teams of world-class engineers at Juspay. Dilip's key achievements at Juspay include architecting India's first UPI PSP stack on the cloud, which went from 0 payments to 3 million payments in three months and powers UPI payments for large UPI apps like AmazonPay and BharatPe. He also co-architected Visa Safe Click with the Visa team, which uses Android's Device HSM for silent authentication of payments. With Visa Safe Click, users can make one-click payments in less than 5 seconds. Dilip was an initial contributor to the Open Credit Enablement Network (OCEN) Specification, a UPI-like solution for democratizing credit. Before becoming the Head of Engineering at Juspay, Dilip was a Senior Software Engineer at the company. He was a core part of the platforms team and led the organization-wide initiative of migrating from Javascript to Purescript, a strongly typed FP language. Dilip's key achievements at Juspay include leading the backend team that built the BHIM UPI App in three weeks, which was launched by the PM of India and got 10 million downloads in the first ten days. He also developed DBMesh, a software shock absorber architecture using KV store as a read/write buffer cache. Dilip built a DSL
