Diljot Singh is a highly skilled and motivated data science intern at Scotiabank, with a passion for building intelligent systems. He holds an MScAc from the University of Toronto, where he was awarded the Vector Scholarship in AI. Diljot has extensive experience in software engineering, having worked as a senior software engineer at Samsung, where he designed and developed Open-RAN (oRAN) based 5G-Network virtualized software blocks. He also discussed and formulated standardization requirements for RU (Radio Units) / DU (Digital Units) with the team at Headquarters (Suwon) for Verizon and supported 6 quarterly releases. Diljot led the team in achieving 80% coverage with respect to code, lines, and functional areas of the existing codebase. Diljot is highly knowledgeable in natural language processing (NLP), machine learning (ML), software development, and data systems. He is seeking a challenging applied research internship that will allow him to apply his knowledge and build intelligent systems. Diljot has experience as a teaching assistant at the University of Toronto, where he gained valuable experience in teaching and mentoring students. Diljot has a strong educational background, including a Masters of Science in Applied Computing from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Thapar University.
