Dilraj S. Devgun is a highly skilled Software Engineer currently working at Microsoft, where he has been developing firmware for the System on Chip (SoC) and Holographic Processing Unit (HPU) for the HoloLens, government IVAS project, and future VR/AR devices. Dilraj has also been instrumental in integrating sensors, writing drivers, and providing higher-level APIs for consumers such as the Calibration, Tracking, and Vision teams. He has improved the frame rate for IVAS camera by 3x by implementing a shared memory buffer pool library that was reusable across multiple sensors. Dilraj has also inherited ownership and continued to develop and maintain a set of internal C++ tools used by teams throughout the HoloLens stack to record data into a custom binary file format alongside features to analyze, repair, and replay the data. Prior to his current role, Dilraj worked as a Software Engineer at Microsoft where he developed software, mathematical models, and proofs in a Machine Learning research team to aid in the development for AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) and knowledge engineering. He has also worked as a CSE 451 TA at the University of Washington, where he taught section, few lectures, and helped manage the underlying project for the Operating Systems course in the UW CSE department. Dilraj has also held weekly office hours helping to debug student's code and explain concepts from the course. The project managed was an adaptation of xv6, called xk, which is a reimplementation of the 6th edition of Unix developed in C. Dilraj has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Washington, which he obtained in 2019. He also has a High School Diploma from Sammamish High School, which he obtained in 2015.
