Dinesh Babu Rengasamy is an experienced Data Engineer and Data Scientist with over eight years of experience in the field. He is currently working as a Lead ML Engineer at Freshworks, where he leads a team of data scientists and data engineers. Dinesh has previously worked as a tech consultant, building various analytics services for top Fortune 500 organizations. Dinesh is experienced in NLP and other ML algorithms and has designed and engineered complex analytics platforms, data-lakes, and micro-services. He has immense experience with public cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure and has productionized very large-scale ML solutions. At Freshworks, Dinesh has built a feature to classify meta fields of a ticket to deflect it to the right resolution group based on predicted category, sub-category, item-category, and agent group. He used Facebook’s fasttext along with a custom NN architecture for embedding and classification. Dinesh has also used AWS Sagemaker to train 33K models for a multi-tenant system in less than 45 minutes using a cluster of 35K cores and 18TB RAM. The solution was presented in Deep Learning note in AWS Reinvent 2019. Dinesh has worked with several companies in the past, including Freshworks and Latentview Analytics. At Freshworks, he worked as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer and built a feature to show hot topics from tickets that do not have a ready-made resolution article. At Latentview Analytics, he worked as an Assistant Manager, Big Data Analytics and led a team of five to create a platform to monitor, summarize, and forecast KPIs. Dinesh holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Information Technology from the College of Engineering.
