Dinesh Jagannathan is a highly skilled engineer with over 13 years of experience in data engineering, distributed systems, big data, real-time streaming, microservices, data modeling, application development, and web technologies. Currently, he is working as a Senior Software Engineer at Uber. Dinesh has a commendable track record of working with some of the biggest names in the industry. He has previously worked with Flipkart and Akamai, where he held various positions and contributed significantly to the development of their products. At Flipkart, Dinesh was responsible for leading the effort for building an in-house clickstream product that enables consumers with real-time and batch analytics on Flipkart clickstream data with a scale of up to 200kqps traffic. He used a tech stack that included Flink, Spark, Druid, HBase, and Azkaban. He also worked on the development of an OLAP processing engine plus datastore over Hadoop where users can configure MOLAP cubes over different kinds of source data from Kafka (real-time) and Hive (batch) tables.
