Dipankar Bahirvani is an AWS certified data engineer with a software engineering background, currently working as a Data Engineer at ERGO Group AG. He specializes in data pipeline design for Industrial Internet of Things to enable big data computing, and is working on the digital transformation of industries using Big Data technologies. Dipankar has over 6.60 years of relevant experience in the field of Data Engineering and is well-versed in technologies such as MQTT, Apache Kafka, Spark, HDFS, SQL, Cassandra, Python, Docker, Sagemaker, ECS, CI/CD, and test. Prior to his current role, Dipankar worked as a Student Research Assistant at RWTH Aachen University, where he was involved in the digital transformation of industries using Big Data technologies such as MQTT, Apache Kafka, Spark, and HDFS. He also worked as a Student Research Assistant at the Center for Wind Power Drives, where he analyzed operational data of wind turbines to enable an enhancement of economic viability. Dipankar conceptualized, set up, and developed standards for a multi-node Cassandra time-series cluster in an on-premise data center, and bulk migrated data (in TBs) into Cassandra cluster using Python libraries (npTDMS, Cassandra driver). Dipankar holds a Master’s Degree in Software Systems Engineering from RWTH Aachen University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology. He also attended La Martiniere College, Lucknow.
