Dishant Sethi is a versatile software engineer with a passion for problem-solving. Equipped with extensive experience in web development, cloud engineering, and DevOps, Dishant is a self-motivated individual who can work independently with minimal supervision. He is confident in his ability to excel in any role, thanks to his experience in open-source contributions, internships, and personal projects. Dishant is passionate about supporting the education system and believes in free and open information/internet access for everyone. He is interested in contributing as a web developer, system/cloud engineer, or DevOps professional. He is always eager to discuss web development practices, the free and open-source software (FOSS) community, and starting a software engineering journey. Currently, Dishant works as a freelance video content creator (cloud) at cloudologic. In his previous role as a software engineer at Velotio, Dishant introduced Whatsapp reminders for webinars and other events for students. He played a key role in the development of a new feature from scratch and integrated CognoAI for Whatsapp messages, implementing the complete flow on lambda and eventbridge. Dishant also launched coupon codes with multi-country support and contributed to the internationalization of coupon codes. He introduced a referral program for students, developed the referral flow for students, and implemented cross-country referrals. Dishant also automated the complete flow of fireside-chat webinars using Lambda and SQS and migrated the student dashboard from Django-context to Django Rest framework. He contributed to achieving two-way sync of data with HubSpot CRM using webhooks and fixed and troubleshooted production bugs. Before joining Velotio, Dishant worked as a software engineer at Essentia Softserv. There, he took complete ownership of two applications and contributed to developing an automation system that prioritizes and monitors charts for OCR processing for Episource. Dishant successfully developed a logic to automatically turn off idle instances, which saved a lot of unnecessary cost and manual monitoring time. He designed and implemented an archival system for processed charts, which improved the efficiency of the system. Dishant also developed web APIs, worked with cloud platforms, and monitored site reliability. He contributed to infrastructure cost optimization by reducing services and task definitions of ECS and by adding logic to scale them automatically using Cloudwatch Alarms. Dishant enhanced Episource’s Risk Adjustment Toolkit from a single calculation to a million calculations at a time using APIs by hitting data in desired cvs/json/xlsx/xls templates.
